Are you ready to be part of something great?

The Fundraising Department aims to drive growth, acquire new donors, and foster the loyalty of existing supporters to generate sustainable funds for nature conservation. As a Fundraising Operations Officer, you play a dual role: you ensure an excellent supporter experience to maximize retention, and you act as the guardian of our database and its integrity. By managing data quality, coding, and making selections, you enable the Fundraising team and Data Analyst to execute high-impact campaigns and accurate analyses.

Deep dive into the role

As Fundraising Operations Officer you are responsible for:

Data & CRM Management (50%)
  • Maintain and improve the quality, accuracy, and consistency of supporter data in our CRM system, including updates, record management, and duplicate prevention.
  • Create audience selections and supporter segments to support targeted campaigns and communications.
  • Support marketing automation processes, helping set up and monitor digital supporter journeys.
  • Assist in working with data tools and platforms such as Salesforce and Power BI, turning data into reports, insights, and trends that improve processes and supporter engagement.
  • Contribute to data migration and system improvement projects.
  • Ensure privacy compliance (GDPR) and proper handling of sensitive supporter information.
Supporter Excellence & Relationship Management (50%)
  • Be the first point of contact for WWF donors and other people reaching out to our organization: answer calls and emails and provide guidance.
  • Send administrative and financial documents to supporters, children and schools.
  • Stay up-to-date on WWF campaigns and initiatives to provide accurate, mission-aligned information.
  • Thank donors and build strong, lasting supporter relationships.

This is a good match for you if

  • You care deeply about supporter satisfaction: motivated to provide high-quality service, prompt follow-up, and create lasting donor relationships.
  • You possess strong communication skills: able to convey information clearly, enthusiastically, and empathetically to supporters, colleagues, and partners.
  • You have an analytical mindset and feel comfortable working with data and CRM systems (or are eager to learn), using data to spot patterns, improve quality, and support targeted engagement.
  • You are organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities and keep information accurate.
  • You can work autonomously while thriving in a team: self-driven, collaborative, and flexible in a dynamic environment.
  • You are fluent in Dutch or French, with a strong command of English.
  • You bring relevant experience or strong motivation: perfect for entry-level candidates, with prior experience in Customer Care, Supporter Services, or nonprofit engagement considered a plus.
  • You work side by side with a top colleague, tackling supporter challenges together and sharing fun moments, quick laughs, or the occasional inside joke.
  • You share and live by WWF’s values: Courage, Integrity, Respect, and Collaboration.

Ready to join us in our mission? Here is what’s in it for YOU

  • A full-time, permanent contract
  • An attractive salary package for the sector including meal vouchers, group insurance, health insurance, 100% reimbursement of the costs of public transport, homeworking allowance,...
  • A flexible working environment: either from home with all the ad hoc IT equipment, or in our pleasant office in the heart of Brussels, easily accessible by public transport
  • Our policies and benefits reflect the importance of people being able to have a good work-life balance and being able to bring their ‘full self’ to work
  • The opportunity to contribute to the mission of WWF and to share our values that will be embedded in your work and behaviours.
